To the General Public:

Want to talk to SAW Members, get questions answered about SAW, find out what SAW has available for you, and eventually join SAW? Look for a SAW Booth at events that you may attend. Talk to people who are knowledgeable about SAW and scrollsawing. There will also be Manuals available that can answer any or all of your questions. You can also pick up brochures and applications to join SAW, order SAW Merchandise, and find out more about Local Chapters.

Find a SAW Booth in 2007 at:

How the Program works

Is your Local Chapter participating in a Woodworking Show? Is your group promoting a Scrollsaw Picnic or some other event where a SAW booth would be the type of vendor that your guests would want to see? This program is the answer to the question of how do we get SAW to participate in our event. The SAW Booth program is designed to allow your group to support the growth of SAW, expand your own membership, and add to the prestige of your event. For an individual, this may help you to find other scrollers in your area to start a Local Chapter.

You will apply to SAW that you plan to set up a dedicated SAW booth at a woodworking show or Scrollsaw Picnic. Craft shows are not allowed for this program. This booth can be combined with a club booth. The booth may not be combined with any other type of sales from the booth such as your craft items, blades, wood, or any type of merchandise.

Manuals that will be available at the booth.

bulletBooth Manual - to help answer questions about SAW
bullet Contest Manual - to help answer questions about Scrollsaw Contests run under SAW Guidelines.
bullet Office Manual - to help answer questions about how SAW is organized and how SAW works.

SAW literature will also be available at the booth:

 Processing Money

It is not recommended that money be collected at a portable SAW booth. Some customers may want to renew their membership or purchase merchandise directly from the booth. Acceptance of money in these instances will require a degree of bookkeeping that may be difficult to administer and keep accurate records with. If the booth applicant decides to accept the responsibility of receiving funds, then that person is also responsible for the accurate recording of monies received and to provide a signed receipt to each customer. If at some future time it is discovered, or claimed, that money was given at this event and this money had not been reported to the Home Office, then SAW will expect to receive the funds from the booth applicant. It will ultimately be the responsibility of the applicant to either not take any money or to accurately record and send any money collected and paperwork involved to the Home Office within one week of the event.
