Allen has completed the Ferris Wheel
project from Wildwood Design and has made modifications
to the design. He is sharing his changes here with you.
You can contact Allen
if you have questions that are not explained here. This
is just the beginning of a gallery page for Allen.

The major change
I made from the plans was to put the motor,
battery and
switch all under the base thus avoiding the
whole mechanism hanging on the
outside. I also added "buttons" over
the screws, eliminated some screws and
put a wood veneer over the top pulley, all to
make it more wooden and less
"erector set" look. The drive belt
(which could be a smaller diameter) is
rubber hose used for windshield washers.
I used solid Red Oak and Walnut. (No plywood)
I'll be glad to answer any questions. It was a
great project! |
