Segal Ervin |
 |
My
name is Segal Ervin, I was born in Romania.
Scrollsawing has been my hobby since I was 10
years old. I moved to Israel with my parent in
1963 where I tried to continue my hobby using a
hand held saw. I stopped scrolling for many
years and searched for new patterns.
Thanks to WOOD magazine, I explored the American
market for patterns and accessories.
I like to scrollsaw
everything, but in particular clocks (small and
large), music boxes, plates and frames in the
Victorian style. I spend all of my free time
scrollsawing. My wife thinks I am wasting my
time, but she lives the final results very
much.
I am a member of SAW, and
you are welcome to write to me to exchange ideas
and discuss scrollsawing. You can see more
pictures of my work in the Gallery section under
Projects or by clicking
here.
With the exception of the
last project pictured, all of the others are
from Local Patterns. Moses is from Wildwood
Designs, but Segal changed the text of the
commandments to Hebrew for more
authenticity. |
