Manfred

"Danish Scissorshapes are famous all over the world. Along an old traditon they are cut out off paper, in "Svankær lille Savværk" they are cut out of 3mm thick plywood. These filigree artworks are handmade by Manfred Mueller. Traditional Shapes, german, danish and also selfmade are the basics for unique wooden Artworks Manfred creates with his Hegner Multicut 2SE.

The little sawmill is definately the right address if you are looking for something typical for northern Denmark! In the old cattle shed you will find the popular exihibition of the Sawmill. Scissorshapes, iceflowercandles, puzzles and a lot more decoration ideas. The local newspaper "Thisted Posten" already wrote several times about "Denmark's smallest sawmill" and the touristmagazine
"Turist i Thy" worte about "a real tourist attraction" that Manfred and Anita have created. On the farm, built about 1850, our farmyard always offers some space to take a rest, wether you are on a bike tour and need a break or you are exploring the beautiful landscape by car. There is always time for a cup of coffee or a conversation with Manfred and Anita, the couple who owns
Svankjær's little sawmill and the Candle Factory."
