| The Scrollsaw
Association of the World (SAW) is an international not-for-profit
guild of woodworkers who use a scrollsaw. Some are specialists with a
scrollsaw, some are beginners, some are young and some are senior
citizens. Scrollers can be found all around the world. Some sell the
products of their talented work, others give their efforts to friends
and family, and still others keep their projects. Some work with wood,
some work with Corian™, some work with plastic, and still more find all
kinds of novel materials to use in their crafts. Some work with
expensive motorized scrollsaws, and others work with hand fretsaws
powered only by their own efforts. Some buy patterns, some design
patterns, and others don't use any patterns. All are fascinated with
what can be produced with this extremely versatile tool!
These are the people who belong to SAW, These are the
people who share their common interest in working with a scrollsaw by
being a part of the Scrollsaw Association of the World.
SAW began as an idea in 1997, and accepted the first
member in April of 1998. Our very first Board of Directors was an all
volunteer group who worked very hard to make the idea of SAW a reality.
The current Board of Directors (listed at the left), continue that
tradition. There are nine (9) members of the SAW Board of Directors. All
of them volunteer to work to promote scrolling and scrollers. Each year,
three members of the Board of Directors reach the end of their term of
office. Elections for membership on the Board of Directors is held at
the end of each year. Officers are selected from the panel of Board of
Directors at their first meeting in January.

you have a concern or question about SAW. If you wish to write to the
